One Moral dynamic of traditional families may be the focus on becoming good parents. This may be the basic desire of married couples. They want to be the best parents they could be when they have children. And they set out in search of a "strategy" that will help them do this.
Good parenting cannot be taught to those who didn't feel it as children.
A "Strategy for Good Parenting" workshop, or something similar, cannot teach couples how to become good parents whenever they can't recognize it in the first place. Good parenting isn't learned inside a classroom. Most parents work tirelessly for children's security, nevertheless, the same parents are "judged" as unfit parents if their children stumble.
Perhaps it becomes an unspoken rule--the "knowing" from the condition of things, by observing the healthiness of children. It's always clear ' or perhaps is it?
taking care of elderly parents If a couple loses their property to foreclosure, or perhaps a thief steals their car, however son finishes grad school with honors--that couple is seen as successful. The unspoken rule says the son's success is-- in essence-- the parents' success. Being homeless and without transportation is, otherwise, considered failure.
On one other hand, once the couple enjoys financial comfort, or when they are respected from the community, however, their children become wayward or get locked up--that couple, despite their personal achievements--is labeled an inability. Society uses the newborn's condition to find out "parenting" success or failure. The question is: should society paint this criticism with your broad strokes? If parents do well, while their children fall terribly short; those parents are labeled failures, despite their personal accomplishments. Parental success or failure is within the eye of the beholder; and is not necessarily rooted in how hard one tried, or the amount one sacrificed while attempting to be good parents. It won't matter that the child made bad choices, though she or he understood the results. No one cares that daughters run away from home because parents argue with a 17-year-old dating a 25-year-old man of shady character. Public opinion will say "you failed being a parent".
Every parent desires to be a "good" parent, though society is confused on which a "good" parent is. There's no proven formula. But an essential step toward transforming into a good parent is--"wanting to become one."
